Do What Makes You Happy

“Yes, money gives you more options – but can’t buy you happiness”.

I used to aspire to be like some respected individuals who in the eye of the public are so successful, rich and living their best life.

However, behind closed doors, many of them are suffering from conditions like depression, anxiety, mental health issues and ultimately the fear of losing it all.

Like a wise man (my late grandpa) once told me;

“What does a wealthy man gain if he has all the money, influence and power without good health and happiness in his soul?”.

This led me to understand that happiness should never be determined by what you have in your bank account or anything relatively similar.

My grandpa was right, this explains why there is an increase of famous or successful people committing suicide or having suicidal thoughts.

I believe happiness should be deeply rooted in the fact that you are alive and well. You are responsible for your happiness and protecting your energy from external negative factors.

As a professional, it is very easy to get carried away with goals, milestones, income growth etc. and forget about the most important thing amongst all which is; the ability to wake up in sound health every single day.

I am grateful for a million things and being on the to WAKE UP LIST every day is far above all things.

I challenge you to do the same as all these materialistic things are worthless without being alive.

What do you think of this theory of mine, do you agree? Or perhaps I missed anything you would like to add?

If so, I would love to read your thoughts in the comment area.
